Mission Opportunities and Partnerships

Believing Jesus' words in Matthew 28:18-20, missions is the heartbeat of our church. As a result, we desire to pray, give, and go on mission. Below you will find info on where Connection Church goes and who we partner with.

What we do

Block Parties: Each year we do multiple block parties in our town. We do these in an effort to meet people in our community who may not have a church home or know Christ. We see this as a "front door" into relationship.

Christ Through Cars: We have quite a few gifted people in our church who use their mechanical gifts to bless and help others who are having auto troubles. Again, this is a great opportunity to build relationships and meet needs in the name of Jesus.

Belle Fourche Ministerial Association: Composed of churches throughout Belle Fourche, we pool resources to help with needs in the community as they arise. Our giving also helps fund the Compassion Cupboard, which is our local food pantry.

Three Missionary Families: We have three families that we currently support as a church body.

Offering: Each year around Christmas we give away one of our weekly offerings to the International Mission Board to help plant churches, send missionaries, and reach the world with the gospel.

Church planting

Planting Network: We partner with several churches in our area to pool resources in order to plant new churches.

Mercy Gate Church: In 2018 we had the privilege of planting our first church, located in Rapid City, SD.

Future Efforts: Our goal is to plant another church in the Lead/Deadwood area in 2020.

Hettinger: We are also working with a group from Hettinger, ND to become an extension of our church.

At Connection one of the many ways we serve our community is through helping our neighbors have safe & reliable transportation. We have a team of volunteers that assist in service or light repair on calendared work days. Car owners are only responsible for the cost of the parts. A service request can be filled out by clicking the link here.

Each Christmas we participate in this world wide effort to bring Christmas joy and the story of Jesus to those in need across the globe. To learn more about this ministry, please visit operationchristmaschild.com or follow the Pack a shoebox link above

This was our third year to work in Kisoro, Uganda. We partner with Pastor George Mbonyebyombi to train pastors from the town and from the villages. Most of these pastors live in Uganda, but a few come from Congo and Rwanda, so it is an excellent opportunity to, not only impact Uganda, but neighboring nations as well.

Twice a year we give away 100% of our weekly, undesignated offering. The first is our Easter offering for North American mission and the second is our Christmas offering for international missions. We want to sacrificially give to missions efforts. Generously giving away resources to reach people is a core value of our church.
